Bristol & District Combination Women’s Competition – 2025/2026
We are delighted with the return of the Bristol & District Combination RFC Women’s competition.
Tournament Details:
9th May 2026
Lockleaze Sport Centre
Tournament Format;
· Clubs will be playing in a round robin event to be held at Lockleaze Sport Centre.
· Games to be confirmed subject to entries.
· The Winners and Runners up of Round Robin tournament will play a Finals game at the end of the day.
· Format and schedule are subject to entries and number of competing squads
Expectations;
· Each entry club will be required to supply their own training balls for warming up, along with any other equipment required.
· Each Entry Club will be required to provide its own adequately qualified pitch-side physio/first aider.
· Once a club has entered the competition, the fixture should be honoured. A bond of £59.00 should be paid to B&DRFC.
· All Players must be adequately experienced and physically conditioned to play full contact.
· Squads and oppositions will be confirmed after the closing date.
Game Laws;
· U19 WRFC laws to apply i.e;
o Rolling subs
o Limited drive at the Scrum
o Over 19 rules may be played, subject to the explicit agreement of teams, refs, and Combination Officials.
· Game time is to be scheduled subject to the number of entrants; however, every team should receive at least 60 minutes of game time over the course of the Tournament.
· Clubs may compete as a Barbarian/mixed squad if clubs have players but no formal Ladies XV.
Subject to the above Expectations.
o Clubs are expected to arrange this between themselves and agree on conditions for prizes, etc.

Important Notice:
Bristol and District Combination reserve the right to open the competition to outside combination members on an invitation-only basis, should it be necessary to ensure adequate numbers to run the competition. If the number of entries is insufficient to run a meaningful contest, the tournament may be cancelled.

Bristol & District Combination Inaugural Women’s Competition – 2023/24
We are delighted to announce Bristol & District Combination is launching the first ever Women’s competition. This is an exciting event set to pave the way for future competitions.
Tournament Details:
Sunday, April 21, 2024 - Lockleaze Sport Centre (LSC) from 2.15 pm
Finals Day Details:
Saturday, May 11, 2024 - Lockleaze Sport Centre (LSC)
Tournament Format;
· Clubs will be playing in a round robin event to be held at LSC on Sunday April 21, 2024, comprising of two groups; subject to entry numbers.
· Games to be confirmed subject to entries received by January 31, 2024.
·
The Winners and Runners-up of Round-Robin tournament groups will play a Cup and Plate Final for Annually presented Trophies and participation awards as part of the Bristol & District Combination Men’s and Women’s Finals day on 11th May 2024
Expectations;
· Each club will be required to supply its own training balls for warming up; along with any other equipment required.
· Each club will be required to provide their own adequately qualified pitch side physio/first aider.
· Once a club has entered the competition every fixture should be honoured. A refundable Bond of £50.00 should be paid to B&DRFC and returned on completion of its own fixtures.
· All Players must be conditioned to play full contact Rugby.
· Entries received and Tournament fixtures will be confirmed ASAP after the entry closing date (January 31, 2024)
· All Decisions of the B&DCRFC Women’s Coordinator are final

Womens Combination Tournament
Dear Club Members!!!!
Further to recent social media announcements, I am delighted to confirm that the inaugural Women's Bristol & District Combination Tournament is scheduled to go ahead on Sunday 21st April 2024 at Lockleaze Sports Centre, with the Women's Cup & Plate Finals being played at the same venue on Saturday 11th May 2024!!
Please advise your Women's squads so that any rearranged games / tours etc are not scheduled on these dates should your squads intend to take part in this new annual competition. Formal entry invitations will be issued shortly.
