Fourteen clubs are represented in the Bristol & District Combination squad to face Bristol Bears at Clifton RFC on Friday, May 3, 2024, kick-off: 7.30 pm, admission £5.

Scrum-half Sam Wolstenholme headlines the youthful Bristol Bears XV team partnering England U20 fly-half Sam Worsley. Harry Ascherl lines up in midfield alongside England U20 centre Joe Jenkins while Harry Rowson starts in an electrifying back three with Deago Bailey and Aidan Boshoff.

Highly rated Argentina U20 international Benjamin Grondona starts at No.8 alongside exciting young duo Kofi Cripps and Aaron Tull in a dynamic back row. The pack is completed by Sam Grahamslaw, Will Capon and Jimmy Halliwell in the front row, with Paddy Pearce and Joe Owen taking their place in the engine room at second row.

Bristol Bears Director of Rugby, Pat Lam, said: “The combination clubs are a vital part of our rugby community, so it was great to bring this fixture back into our rugby calendar last season for the first time in many years.

“This season I’m sure will be another great evening where we have an opportunity to play a lot of young exciting talent coming through especially local players who have represented our Combination clubs.”
